About HCL JIGSAW 5.0
HCL Jigsaw – is a-pan India competition, which helps young learners improve their problem-solving skills. It is devised to identify and award India’s Top Young Problem Solvers. Students will learn about the importance of 21st century skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork, research, collaboration and communication skill which will help them apply these to solve real-world challenges.
Schools across India are participating and this is an opportunity to participate, learn and showcase your talent at National Level
Rewards & Recognitions
- The total prize purse is Rs.12 Lakhs for winners and finalists.
- Top One Team, Per Grade, Nationally, will be declared as WINNERS. Each winner will be taking the title of “India’s Top Young Problem Solver” & Prize worth Rs.70000, each in form of gifts and gadgets.
- Winner Student will visit HCL INNOVATION LAB at Bangalore or Chennai and will get learning opportunities. One parent accompanies the student. Travel/Stay/Food cost is borne by HCL JIGSAW.
- Runners Up Team, will be receiving a Certificate and Prizes worth Rs.15000, each.
- All participants, of Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 will be given an e-Participation Certificate.
Schedule & Dates
Round 1 - Qualifier Round
Online Round, 40 Minute duration
MCQ format
Questions based on problem solving & critical thinking
You can attempt, ONLINE, using laptop/desktop/tab/mobile
To be attempted in ONE sitting
There are 02 slots available to attempt Round 1.
You can choose any of the slot
Slot 1 : 15th,16th and 17th Jun
Slot 2 : 02nd, 3rd and 04th Aug
Top 20%ile students, per grade, Nationally, will qualify for Round 2.
Result will be informed on the registered email ids
Round 2 - Project Based Learning
Team of 03 students, from same grade will be created.
Team will be created randomly from different schools.
A mentor will be assigned
Mentor will brief the Team and assign the topic
Team will interact with each other in the assigned team room, in their dashboard.
Team will research, collaborate and complete the project template
Project is to be submitted ONLINE
Dates : 24h and 25th Aug
Top 5 teams, per grade, Nationally, will qualify for Finale
Results will be informed on the registered email id
Round 3 - Finale - Jury Round
Team to prepare a PowerPoint presentation, on the project done in Round 2
Team to present to jury members
Online round
Time slot to present will be informed before the Finale.
Dates : 07th and 8th Sep
Online Award Ceremony will be on 9th Sep,
One Winner Team, per grade and Two Runners Up teams per grade will be announced
Results will be shared on the registered email id
